Courtney Franks joined the Accelerated Health Team in January of 2008. She was born and raised outside of Peterborough, Ontario and attended Brock University where she received her Bachelors of Kinesiology Degree with honors. Courtney attended D'Youville College in Buffalo, New York where she received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
Courtney has since become a licensed physiotherapist in both Canada and the United States. A personally and professionally rewarding facet in her practice is healing, educating and empowering her clients to re-engage in their chosen activities. She creates an effective therapeutic experience by combining hands-on manual techniques including soft tissue release, joint mobilizations, and manipulation, along with other treatment modalities including acupuncture, exercise therapy, and education. Courtney enjoys helping patients regain normal joint, soft tissue and neural mobility and function while maintaining optimal biomechanics necessary to minimize the reoccurrence of injury.
Courtney enjoys working with a wide variety of patients and injuries and her treatment focus is hands on. Courtney is passionate about her work and dedicated to maintaining the highest standard of care for her patients.
In her free time, Courtney enjoys working out at the gym and spending time with friends.
